Visiting the Trust
The Assault Glider Trust is based at RAF Shawbury, just outside Shrewsbury in Shropshire. Due to the location of the Trust visits can only be conducted by prior appointment only. At least one month advanced notice is required before the date of your visit for necessary forms to be completed. The Assault Glider Trust is dedicated to all aspects of Education from Primary to University learning and encourages access to its aircraft collection as part of the learning experience.

Outreach Sessions
The Trust offers a wide range of 1 hr outreach sessions including loans boxes, object handling and model making. Please contact the Assault Glider Trust Curator for further details.
Group Visits/Lectures
Group visits by interested parties are also welcome (by prior appointment only arranged at least one month prior to visit date). Visits consist of a lecture about the project and the history of airborne operations* followed by a tour of our hangar and a look at the aircraft. Although this facility is FREE the Trust welcomes donations from any non-education based organisation. Please contact the Assault Glider Trust Curator for further details.
