Work on the Dakota has progressed at a breathtaking rate. The respray is complete, the aircraft has been moved back into the hangar, and the engines and props have been fitted by Air Atlantique. Rob has adopted the aircraft, organising the fitting of the fin and tailplane. He also sweated blood personally fitting the engine cowlings - how many screws were there Rob? He has started restoring the flight deck to original condition, following his appeal in Flypast magazine for period instruments. During the Air League visit, he was overheard asking if anybody knew where he could get airworthy engines - steady Rob!
